Alan Wier was a Design Educator for 16 years at Purdue University and The Ohio State University. He developed instructional tools and taught both undergraduate and graduate level students in a wide variety of design disciplines including: Design Strategy, Interface Design, 3D Computer Visualization, Lighting Design, Interior Space Design and Product Design.

Research

Alan Wier's academic research activity is in the area of in human factor visualization. At the core of the research effort was the need to develop more effective, efficient and economic means to study the interaction of humans and the designed world, during the design process. Computer based software tools and Anthropometrically correct mannequin models were created and utilized during this research.
