Interactive Design
Alan Wier taught Computer-aided design and 3D visualization to both Product and Interior Design students. AutoCAD, AutoDesk Solid Modeler, and 3D Studio Max were the primary software tools used. Initial focus was on 2D CAD skills and creating orthographic views. Then 3D surface and solid modeling, materials, lighting and animation projects were undertaken. Final projects were usually taken from the concurrent major design studio course.
